Hello. My name is Robbie Sell. I’m the “new guy” behind Active’s SNOW blog. Yeah, they went out and got ME… You know why??? Because I’m not afraid to talk about what you want to hear! and because I also have access to get you all the newest news on the hottest product, coolest riders, best events, celebrity relationships, shitty gossip, wildest parties, radical trends, new spots, et cetera, et cetera. That’s why you read blogs right? Basically I’ll have entertaining and informative content updated all the time. So go ahead and make a bookmark on this page… “apple(control) D” or something like that, so you can come back again and again, and again. Anyways… you are probably wondering who I am and why/how I got this prestigious position. I didn’t know what to say about myself, so I did a Google search of my name to see if anybody had written about me and what I might say, a bunch of stuff came up but didn’t help. http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=%22Robbie+Sell%22&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8 Basically I’m a professional snowboarder, photographer, model, and now author. I doubt anybody remembers or cares, but I started riding around 1992 in the Lake Tahoe area. I went pro a while back; filmed with a bunch of crews like Neoproto, 411, Standard, Technine, Blacklight, Autumnline, & MDP-People. I had a shit ton of photos published in the mags, because I had some edgy style. Back in 2001 Corey Smith and I kinda started the whole jeans trend… love it or hate it, it got me some coverage! I’m not bragging, just saying it was some good marketing. Then the sponsors came along with it. I rode for Santa Cruz and had 3 pro models with them, was on the Quiksilver pro team, Electric Visual, T9 then to Flux and had 2 pro models with them, was on Coal Headwear for a long time, Grenade, Nixon, Union, and a couple others. I still endorse Hoven Eyewear, and Active Ride Shop of course! These days I’m mainly shooting photos. You can watch the new People movie “Down with People”, Autumnline “Technicolor”, & TWS “These Days” and see some cameo shots of me in them. …I’ll talk about it later, but there’s a new movie I’ll be getting some heavy action shots in this winter. I travel with all the film crews now and do photoshoots along with them, from MDP to the local bro crews; so I’m down with just about every pro out there. I’ll be getting you some great stories and photos! Thanks for reading, if you made it this far… Every blog post after this will be way more interesting I promise. I just wanted to fill you in on my background a little. I wasn’t an english major, so sorry about any typos or run on sentences… what do you expect since I spent my college years filming video parts! Active Pro Team Rider Billy Marks‘ birthday was this past Monday, September 29th. Billy turned 26 and we were there to document some of the day’s events. Billy is now an avid hockey player so we watch him play a game and score a couple goals. Billy also played lots of his specialty, beer pong. Transworld was there as well to cover the event and are putting together a Billy Marks Day in the Life as I type. We will let you know when it’s online. For now, check out the photos! The Lakai team came out in full effect on Saturday to Active Temecula! Despite the 100 degree heat, hundreds off kids lined up for hours to meet the crew. The Lakai line up consisted of Marc Johnson, Guy Mariano, Mike Carroll, Rick Howard, Vincent Alvarez, Eric Koston and Mike Mo Capaldi, pretty impressive I must say! Thanks again to the entire Lakai crew for coming out and supporting us with this event!
