Well once again we’ve had our Ladies Night Event.  It was held Sunday August 17th at all Active Rideshop locations from 7pm- 9pm.  We had great results and for those who joined it, they were rewarded.  Those who couldn’t make it to the stores, they were still able to participate; Ladies Night was also held online all day on that same day.  (more…)

To Die For Clothing did back to back in store happenings at the Irvine and Riverside locations. To Die For family members/bands Never Enough http://www.myspace.com/never3nough and Mikoto http://www.myspace.com/mikoto entertained and graffiti artist Deph did a live art show at each and raffled them off to lucky To Die For fans! Sea No Evil Art Show with guest speaker, Paul Watson, live performance by Matt Costa, and Guest DJ Shepard Fairey. The only thing that would make this any better is if when you got there they gave you cash, and some of that really good beef jerky from Bishop. Last Sunday was an amazing show of team work and love up at the Rancho store. Some of our dear employees have fallen on hard times due to Cancer. The spirited staff tapped into their resources to host a bake sale and a concert to raise funds to help. The staff all pitched in and baked some amazing goodies. Chronic Cantina stepped up in a big way and let the concert go down at their new Upland location. In addition, Active threw in 10% of all sales for the weekend! Active Rancho was able to raise over $5,000 for the cause. Way to go Rancho store!! Big thanks to Curt Phillips, Cromwell, and Dose of Adolescence for bringing down the house with amazing performances. Each band donated their time and we are all so grateful!

Toms shoes, probably the best business concept of the double O! You buy a pair of these super chill ninja sneakers and some child in a third world country gets a pair too. Everybody wins! That being said it was only logical for Active to team up with the crew to host a killer fundraiser event for all to enjoy the Toms love. With Red Bull jumping on board in a big way, the date was set for February 24th, the location Active Westwood, and the event was dubbed ?Give?.

If you were present for the performance at Active Westwood you were one of the lucky people who got to witness Matt Costa and his band who are only getting more and more popular. Matt was gracious enough to play a free set prior to leaving on tour for the LA crowd that made it into Active that day.
