Active Pro Mike-Mo Capaldi loves Pizza and Pancakes. Weird combo? Yes. Weirder contest? You bet!

Active and Girl want you to step out of your comfort zone and create a video having to do with Pizza and Pancakes. We don’t care what you do, or how you do it, but whoever submits the one Mike Mo likes the best will win a year’s supply of Girl decks. I’ll say it again, a year’s supply of Girl decks. Do I have your attention now? Good.

The rules are pretty loose on this one, so go nuts. I don’t want to spoil any ideas people have out there, but here are some quick thoughts I’ve got to get your imagination going: Film a Pizza Pancakes eating contest, Pizza Pancakes art creation (syrup & sauce paintings?) Civil war battle enactment with soldiers made of dough, (think peperoni battle wounds and syrup blood) I’m not going to give any more free ideas away. Get going! Contest ends January 1st 2009!

The Fourstar Street Pirate logo, the skull and crossboards serves as a banner for skaters everywhere to show their intent on pillaging and plundering everything on the street. Over the years, Fourstar Clothing has diced and sliced it up in more ways than can be remembered. Now Fourstar and Active are giving you the chance to make it look however you want. The directions are simple,

1. Download the Street Pirate logo here
2. Put your own spin on the logo by coloring it, rearranging it, adding to it, subtracting from it, or whatever else you can think of. Just make it your own.
3. Send your submission to Pirates@activerideshop.com
4. Check news.activerideshop.com frequently for updates. If we like your submission, (or hate it enough) we’ll put it on the site for everyone to see.
5. The best Show Me Your Pirates logo submitted will be made into a Fourstar T-shirt graphic for their Fall 2009 collection.

Ray Barbee! One of the nicest guys I know! The same guy who almost single handedly help the skate scene transition from neon crap/spandex to wearing jeans and ball caps! At least in my little scene. At the time the runs Ray was doing and all the no complys was out of this world. I’ve attached a little You Tube video of his 1989 part in Powell’s “Ban This”.
